Job Overview

Lead the design of subframe components that support the suspension system and manage forces from cornering, bumps, acceleration, and braking.
Ensure subframes provide high strength, stiffness (torsional & flexural), fatigue resistance, and long-term performance.
Play a key role in frontal crash energy management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to take designs from concept to production.

Responsibilities

Ensure designs meet all vehicle attribute requirements.
Design components at both system and detailed levels with precision.
Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate systems efficiently.
Oversee virtual simulations and physical testing of your designs.
Manage multiple complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Experience in the automotive industry, especially with stamped steel weldments, subframes, and low-pressure die castings.
Proven experience in end-to-end component design-from concept through production.
Skilled in design release engineering, including change management and project coordination.
Hands-on experience with prototype assembly and understanding of real-world application.
Proficient in 3D CAD, project leadership, supplier selection, and applying GD&T for tolerance definition.
